Walking through the shrine along fragrant paths, we'll enjoy the festive atmosphere of historic Kameido where many vendors offer rare goods and delicious food & drinks for us to enjoy!

AFTERWARDS, we'll enjoy a fantastic exhibition of the brilliant Art-
Deco creations of innovative Japanese designer, Hisui Sugiura!
Chrysanthemums, or "Kiku" (A living symbol of Japan's Imperial family) begin blooming in late October. These lovely red, gold, white, russet or purple flowers form in many varieties & are sometimes a hundred blossoms grow from a single stalk!
Walking to Kameido Tenjin Shrine from Kameido Station, we'll enjoy the atmosphere of the shitamachi (old downtown area) which developed on ancient "Turtle Island!"
On our way, we'll also visit the elegant, historic Katori Shrine, home of the Giant Daikon, the Samurai Festival & several Lucky Gods of Japan!
Tokyo’s famed Kameido Tenjin Shrine is famous for its arched red bridge and naturally, there are also hundreds of turtles, or "kame", and koi (carp) to be seen in the shimmering green pond!
Kameido Shrine is dedicated to the 9th-century scholar & poet Sugawara no Michizane, who is considered the "kami" or spiritual patron of all scholars & students!
The Shrine has also been the subject of many famous artists, including Hiroshige who captured the shrine as #65 in his “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo”.
After the Festival, we'll explore the town & lovely riverside park-gardens on our way to Tokyo's unique "Tobacco and Salt Museum" which is featuring a major exhibition of GORGEOUS (and clever) Japanese art-deco graphic designs:

"Among the pieces on display are works by Sugiura that are era-defining designs more famous than the man himself. Chief among them is his poster heralding the opening of the Tokyo Underground Railway between Asakusa and Ueno in 1927, the first ever in Asia. The print, inspired by Art Deco including those Sugiura saw in Europe in 1922, portrays the coming rush of the new; among the passengers awaiting the approaching train, those at the back are portrayed in more traditional Japanese clothing, whereas the people at the front are seen in western attire."

After enjoying the exhibits, we'll visit the "Morihachi Honpo", an amazing old-fashioned sweet-shop housed in a splendid, authentic tower-building, based on an actual tower from Edo-castle!

革新的な日本人デザイナー、杉浦非水によるデコ作品！
菊、または「菊」（日本の皇室の生きているシンボル）は10月下旬に咲き始めます。これらの素敵な赤、金、白、あずき色、または紫の花は多くの種類で形成され、時には一本の茎から百の花が成長します！
亀戸駅から亀戸天神社まで歩いていくと、古くからの「亀島」に発展した下町の雰囲気を満喫できます！
途中、大根、侍祭り、七福神の本拠地である、優雅で歴史的な香取神宮も訪れます！
東京の有名な亀戸天神社は、アーチ型の赤い橋で有名です。当然のことながら、きらめく緑の池には何百もの亀、つまり「亀」と鯉が見られます。
亀戸神社は、すべての学者と学生の「神」または精神的な守護聖人と見なされている9世紀の学者で詩人の菅原道真に捧げられています。
名所江戸百景」で歌川広重を65位にとらえた広重をはじめ、多くの著名な芸術家の作品でもあります。
フェスティバルの後、東京のユニークな「タバコと塩の博物館」に向かう途中で、町と美しい川沿いの公園の庭園を探索します。ここでは、豪華な（そして巧妙な）日本のアールデコ調のグラフィックデザインの主要な展示が行われます。

展示を楽しんだ後は、江戸城の実際の塔を基にした、本物の見事な塔の建物の中にある、すごい昔ながらの菓子屋「森八本吾」を訪ねます！
